Stephen Metcalfe, MP for South Basildon & East Thurrock, recently visited Kingspan Technical Insulation in Basildon to see their new manufacturing line.
Stephen visited Kingspan Technical Insulation at its site in Basildon. There was an opportunity to have a tour of the site, including its new manufacturing line, and meet the new MD, Andrew Bacon, who was appointed in September 2023.
The Basildon site specialises in manufacturing high performance technical products and systems for pipework in building services, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and industrial applications.
In recent years, Kingspan has invested heavily across its sites to reduce its environmental impact and accelerate towards the target of becoming a net zero manufacturing company by the end of the decade.
Stephen Metcalfe said: “It was great to meet Andrew Bacon and Lynne Stone from Kingspan to discuss the new manufacturing line at their Basildon site.
Manufacturers are investing in Basildon and its well-known industrial expertise. This is good for jobs and reinforces Basildon’s status as a great place to do business.
Kingspan’s pipework insulation will be added to buildings across the country – working to increase energy efficiency, reduce waste, and bring down bills.”
