Stephen Metcalfe, MP for South Basildon & East Thurrock, is encouraging all local businesses to attend the ‘Meet the Bidders’ event at the Orsett Hall Hotel in Thurrock on Wednesday 28th September.
The Lower Thames Crossing (LTC) team is holding the ‘Meet the Bidder’ event for Essex suppliers to learn more about the programme, project ambitions, procurement process and opportunities which the LTC project will provide for local industry.
The event will include presentations from the project team, introductions from the Main Works Bidders, and a Q&A about the procurement process and networking opportunities with regional businesses. There will also be free resources available from the Supply Chain Sustainability School to help your business to get ready to bid for work on the crossing.
You can register a maximum of two people from your business via the link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/ltc-meet-the-bidders-in-essex-tickets-397078591757
Stephen Metcalfe said: “The Lower Thames Crossing is a controversial project. I have told Parliament how I believe it is not the silver bullet that will solve congestion problems around the constituency.
However, I do believe that, if this project is to go ahead, Essex businesses should seize the opportunities this project will provide.
I strongly recommend all local businesses to attend the ‘Meet the Bidders’ event and learn more about the opportunities available to local suppliers and meet the Lower Thames Crossing team”.
