Stephen Metcalfe, MP for South Basildon & East Thurrock, visited Greensted Junior School to discuss climate change and his role as an MP.
In light of UK Parliament Week, Stephen visited Greensted Junior School where he heard from students about their concerns and what action we can all take to address the issues facing our planet.
The Year Six Management Team of pupils conducted a tour of the school where Stephen was able to visit a number of classes to speak to students about his work as a Member of Parliament. Students were able to ask questions and read out letters they had prepared in advance of the visit.
Stephen Metcalfe MP: “In light of UK Parliament Week, I was delighted to visit Greensted Junior School and speak to students about my role as a Member of Parliament and discuss concerns they had about climate change.
It is excellent that at such a young age pupils are passionate about the issues facing our planet.”
